Have booked rucksack only but it will be jampacked, are they strict on size?

Depends how busy the flight is.

TakeOnFlea · 06/03/2024 21:47

Can be. Not worth going over imo

The best thing to do is buy something in WHSmiths and pop some things in the carrier bag so your rucksack isn't over

It depends. I’ve noticed that rucksacks people tend to get away with, while they are stricter on wheeled suitcases but the rules apply for all luggage and they would have the right to tell you to pay extra, check the bag or both if your back doesn’t fit in the sizer. If you are short and small framed you are probably less likely to have a backpack size checked than someone tall and broad. No one can tell you what will happen on your flight though.

I flew with them yesterday and they had the sizer out to check everyone's bag. I have a 'cabin max' bag - for those not in the know it is exactly the easyJet cabin bag size. They must see these all the time - but they made me put it in the sizer to check...

These are the exact sizes
