Does anyone have experiences of this antibiotics? The doc said it doesn't work like classic antibiotics so it won't affect her longer term but reading the blurb etc they seem to be prescribed for respiratory infections also?
He made it sound like this was speficic for only acne. Also he said you can't get acne on your haunch and that must be something else?

I took it for a year or so because I was getting big spots on my face due to late onset adult acne that never came to a head every month and then by the time the next period came round I still had red scars.

It was a low dose and it worked a treat. Then I got pregnant and stopped taking it as I was terrified my son would have black tetracycline staining in his teeth! He didn't thankfully!

The late-onset acne never returned after that.

@Acneskinhelp thank you. So you think it's also helped with the marks left behind?

Yes they have all healed/disappeared - it was 15 years ago though! But the main reason I was prescribed it was to stop the unsightly and painful lumps happening at all which it did very successfully. No idea why!

Thanks.
