Rug problems

I bought DD a rug for her room from Ikea. It's in the shape of a tiger, and she likes it very much (I also like it, but mainly because it was reduced to £9).

Unfortunately the edges of the rug are curling up and it's slipping all over her carpet. The only solutions the internet has thrown up are rectangular "underlay" style mats that wouldn't work because of the shape of the tiger (and also wouldn't stop the edges curling), or carpet tape - which is designed to stick carpets to hard floors, and would damage the carpet underneath.

I am sure there must be a really simple solution to this, or a product that everyone knows about and I don't. Any suggestions?

Ha! Well it's good to know I'm not the only one!

Get cheap mat slip underlay from a pound shop and cut it to the tiger shape, or use tape that is single sided on the underside of the rug
