Does anyone have any experience of this? I've just been told I need surgery and I'm absolutely terrified.
I fell over last week and broke it but the doctor wanted to wait a week to see if it could heal by itself. It can't. I'm terrified that surgery will mean a return to the pain of last week. I'm still in a lot of pain but last week was horrific.
How is the immediate aftermath of surgery, ie the first 24/48 hours? Is it as bad as when it broke?
