Is it still big coat weather in London?

I'm going to London on Thursday, can I get away without wearing my "big coat"? I don't want to have to carry it round if it's sunny.

It's been pretty mild all winter in the SE, I've hardly worn my thick coat this year, it's forecast 12°C on Thurs so definitely only a thin coat needed if you want to avoid getting too hot.

Still cold at night, might want layers

If you are going to be in and out of buildings, then it is probably jacket weather. Long walks in parks and you might still need a coat, but not a great thick job.

You don't need a big coat. It's very mild.

The tube is always hot so bear that in mind , enjoy your day.

I was there for four days at the beginning of February and no big coat.
I wore layers and a warmish, but not big coat that could be tied round my waist.
I only wore it at night.

Thanks everyone, I think I'll risk it and take a jacket that fits in my bag.
