How to manage driving test in area with long wait

Hi I live in an area with a long wait for driving tests. Has anyone had experience of failing a test / multiple tests in busy areas? I think waiting 3 months between tests might lead to me losing momentum. And I'm not sure how to manage lessons between tests in these circs. Anyone got any advice?

Download an app that will get you a test sooner eg testi, driving test now!

Some instructors can get hold of sooner slots too

I sat my driving test when everyone was booking straight after Covid. I used I think it was called ‘testi’ app and got a cancellation. I refreshed at 6am every morning on the DVLA website too. It’s so frustrating waiting!

I used Driving Test Now! For a much earlier slot
It’s a 6 month wait here but with the apps you can get a much sooner a lot, especially if you can be flexible with time and day

Look at it as a positive that you get more (expensive) experience driving in all sorts of weather's and change your lessons so that they are at different times of day to experience more traffic flows, go on different routes to experience different roads often driver instructors stuck to the test routes. 12 weeks will go by quite fast you could also book longer lessons to practise distance driving.
