Baby Girl Name

Hi everyone,

I’m in need of some honest opinions. Little girl is a few weeks old and as yet unnamed! I already have a William, and am considering naming new baby Caitlin (Kate-lyn pronunciation). I’m worried everyone will think of prince william/kate when they hear their names. Definitely won’t be having any more kids to dilute the association!

Yes, everyone will definitely think of William and Kate. I would also immediately think of Caitlin Jenner.

Nobody, especially younger parents and your DD’s school friends down the road, will remotely think of Caitlin Jenner (who’s hardly in the media these days)! I grew up with Bruce Jenner on my cereal boxes. My 35 year old niece is called Caitlin as is DD’s 13 year old friend. Caitlin Jenner never comes to mind.

It’s a lovely name. If you love it, use it.

William and Kate are going to be King and Queen is the trouble so not going anywhere - it’s not unusable but all the comments will get boring

Emma is lovely very classic personally I would choose that over Caitlyn although Caitlyn is nice too I prefer classic names .
