My sleep is all over the place.
Woke at 5 am yesterday, was in bed at 8pm, and now wide awake

Stressful time at work, and peri not aiding in being well rested.

Also had this weird cold virus for 2 weeks!

There has been a weird sound outside, like the sound of an airlock. No idea where it's coming from but it's happening every 20-30 minutes. Add to that DP has got the "twitches", so I've given up trying to sleep. I've got a 10 hour shift starting at 6 and I can't say I'm looking forward to that.

I'm wide awake and this is a very regular occurrence nowadays!

ScaredAndPanicky · 04/03/2024 03:22

Suffering badly with PTSD flashbacks and nightmares at the moment about STBXH raping me and trying to gaslight his way out of it. Woke up at 1am having a nightmare and had woken up so many times by then thought it must be about 7am. Not been able to go back to sleep, so finally got up to get a drink.

@honeyandbutterontoast just been reading your other post. You poor thing, you must be heartbroken. My STBXH had an affair for 10 years and I stupidly decided to stay with him for another 10 after that before I saw him for what he was a manipulative idiot with psychopathic tendencies. So my heart goes out to you and all his other women. It will get easier eventually.

honeyandbutterontoast · 04/03/2024 03:25

Thank you. I just feel so old. These are all women 20 years younger than me, blonde, very attractive. How stupid of me not to realise that was what he wanted.

Alwaysconfuddled · 04/03/2024 03:31

Feeding my 9 day old. Now waking at least every 2hrs to feed her trying to get her weight back up. So far she’s gained 100g in 2 days 🤞 for next weigh in

veryangrymot · 04/03/2024 03:35

I woke up from the noise of breaking glass, but couldn't see anyone or anything broken outside- must have been a dream.
Have lots of stress going on with my 'D'H. I have decided yesterday I want a divorce. All the duck are in the row already for few months, I only need to start the paperwork now.

Glitz1004 · 04/03/2024 03:40

Awake with DS. He's got conjunctivitis and a temp and awful congestion. He's worried about sleeping again because of his eyes getting glued together. Poor thing. Going to have to take another day off work.
He's been poorly on and off the past few weeks so worrying about all these days off I'm having from work but obviously DS comes first

fairycakesandtea7 · 04/03/2024 03:41

Due to have an operation in the morning 😬

Me too..

Sorry for the women who are suffering trauma.

Foxes are calling outside- {03.37am} I bet they don't rape each other...they seem a much nicer animal than humans.

Just made a coffee and turned Whippet out for a wee {we both fell asleep on sofa and awoke cold at about 2 am..the stove having burned low}
For the woman with the ''heavy breather'' outside her window... hopefully it is just a harmless Hedgehog :)

Woken up by my 5 year old. He usually quietly sneaks in and we all get sleep but it's the 3rd night of him being so unsettled he wakes me up again and again. Now he's settled again, I'm dealing with all the nighttime anxieties and doubt I'll get any more sleep tonight...

Poor little lad...Yes, it's horrible when they have eyes glued shut. He knows you will un glue them though.

BatshitCrazyWoman · 04/03/2024 03:45

I'm away in a lovely hotel for a couple of nights. I've not been sleeping anyway, and I never sleep well my first night in a hotel, however lovely! I've been awake about an hour 😔

I've had some health issues, my overactive thyroid was in remission, but I've been getting symptoms and now I'm weirdly wired but tired. Blood tests on Wednesday.

K0OLA1D · 04/03/2024 03:49

In pain. Now just thinking, on overtime. About nothing in particular, but my hearts beating out of my chest all the same!

I have a day off work tomorrow though which is nice.

I also need a wee, but getting up hurts so it takes me a time to work up to it!

I feel like if I sleep past 2am I've done ok recently!

Sorry about everyone having a bad time at the moment

Worrying about adult son and my quality of life because of this. It's one thing after another and I can't believe how little hope
I feel.

We never stop being a parent.

Mum's driving instructor had three adult daughters and he said ''I never stop worrying about them''.. It's par for the course of being a parent..and very true.

A radio 4 programme mentioned police being contacted because a mother's son hadn't yet come home from a night out..
The son was in his fifties! Mum Eighties!

AuntieMarys · 04/03/2024 04:16

Worrying about our shitty new neighbours who think it's acceptable to keep a dog outside all the time , never walk it and let it shit everywhere without cleaning it up. It is ruining the quality of our life.

Capmagturk · 04/03/2024 04:17

My mum passed away from oesophagael cancer in November three months after diagnosis and my sleeps all over the place, dh mum isn't very well and he's got an injury and really stressed, I've got an interview on Tuesday I'm so stressed about. Cat woke me up and now can't get back to sleep stressing.

honeyandfizz · 04/03/2024 04:19

To all those having a crap time Flowers

I returned from Sri Lanka early hours of Sunday and have jet lag. Luckily not back at work until Wednesday so no pressure.

Can you report to the dog warden and environmental health ? {Barking is noise pollution}

willowstar · 04/03/2024 04:24

My cat came in to say hello at about 2 and I have been awake since, largely worrying about all of the work I am behind on because I have been quite unproductive lately and distracted. I had meant to work a bit this weekend to catch up and I didn't so now awake worrying about it and knowing that I won't be able to get everything done in the morning

Luckily it doesn't make a sound! Dh is going to have a word today. But yes...Next step is environmental health and RSPCA.

blitzen · 04/03/2024 04:25

Baby up to breastfeed. Don't mind being up once through the night but feel like if I'm woken after 4am it's unlikely I'll get back to sleep before my alarm. Or will doze off just before it and sleep in. In my head I call it a danger feed!
