Does this look like a cmpa rash

We thought milk spots but they don't seem to be going but getting worse. Also when baby is drinking milk they seem to go redder weirdly ! But don't know if that's just because baby is working hard guzzling the milk down !
Baby is on gaviscon for reflux which has helped somewhat, doesn't have explosive nappies but does get alot of what we think is trapped wind.
The rash is only on her face, started on the left eye, then moved onto the right eye and now it's basically all over.
Gp said infantile eczema.
Baby is almost 3 weeks
Thanks

I think it would be hard to say at such a young age. Breast or bottle fed?

thinkfast · 03/03/2024 20:06

Yes. My DS had similar rash due to cmpa

thinkfast · 03/03/2024 20:07

Btw. Not a dr and could be something entirely different...

whiska · 03/03/2024 20:18

Bottle fed. My toddler has cmpa but I don't remember what the rash looked like in the beginning !

Also - what are the chances of two babies having the same allergy?? Is this common or ?

It’s probably more likely for an allergy to run in families. You’ll need to ask for neocate or similar and see if it helps. I’ve had a look at my CMPA baby’s photos from a few weeks old and, yep, looks like it.

whiska · 03/03/2024 20:45

Oh should've mentioned she has reflux too, she has gaviscon for it which seems to be helping a little. No mucus in poo's (yet, dd1s poo's didn't go mucusy until she was about 6-8 weeks)

It's hard to say, could be eczema or baby acne, poor little thing.

scaredofff · 03/03/2024 23:14

It's a bit of a shock when babies puke like that! Take her back to to the GP tomorrow as you're worried.
