As the title reads really.
My 4yo bumped her head at nursery Wednesday last week, they rang me and they came out before she did at pick up to explain and get me to sign an accident form.
Since then it’s gone through a good range of colours, blue first, then purple, now it’s a greeny/grey bruise.
But the lump is still there and now it’s got me wondering if I should have had her checked out. She’s still upset by it, she flinches and says it hurts if I say move her fringe or hug her/she leans into me on it. Her toddler brother patted her on the head earlier on it and she burst into tears saying it hurt bad. - I do suspect it’s sore as a bruise would be but I have a bit of anxiety now that I’ve not done enough..
For more info:
She ran into a wall.
She wasn’t sick
Didnt lose consciousness
No bleeding or dents.
Not much change in behaviour other than being really flinchy if you go anywhere near it and being upset if you touch it or she leans on it ect.
Otherwise fine in herself.
I think just because I noticed earlier it’s still got a lump to it/slightly swollen I expected that to go away by now? But I’ve had a Google and it seems unless she was knocked out, bleeding, sick ect that we don’t need to do anything. Is that right? I don’t want to neglect her if she should be seen but it doesn’t sound like she should.
Does anyone know how long it should take for the selling/lump to go? Pics included.
