My tyre pressure light won't go off!

On my car when the warning light for low tyre pressure comes on, once I have put air in them I them have to reset it on the screen under settings so that the warning light goes off. Perhaps your car is the same?

What sort of car?
I assume you've put air in the tyres. There may be a way to reset the system if the tyres are now at the correct pressure

dementedpixie · 03/03/2024 17:14

My niece has an Aygo and her reset button was in the glove box or around that area. Some resets are done in the settings

Nolongera · 03/03/2024 17:16

If it's anything like ours, it just tells you things have changed, you have to re do the pressures then reset the button.

I forget how to do this every time and have to look it up.

It's an mg. I can't find how to reset it in the manual.Confused

My hire car had a slow puncture, which is why the light was persistently on. Have you checked whether the tyre deflates?

MsYamada · 03/03/2024 17:53

Try You Tube, that's where I found out how to reset mine.

Toomuch44 · 03/03/2024 17:58

As you're expecting it to go off, I assume you've checked your tyres over a few days for pressure and added air if needed. If so, this happened to us, tyres were ok and ended up having to have a new tyre sensor fitted.

Google it!

hexsnidgett · 04/03/2024 11:34

Well. I did google it and found a video on how to reset it. Hooray! The stupid manual says it resets itself. Angry
