Has anyone else has awful customer service from the passport office?
I have spoken on the phone to 4 different people today who have told me 4 different stories about my passport application.
Person 1: application has been approved and is in printing stage
Person 2: application hasn’t been reviewed or even assigned to an examiner yet
Person 3: the examiner has reviewed the application and has written a note that they are going to contact me about an interview
Person 4: examiner has reviewed the application and has passed it to a second examiner for review, no notes about an interview
Everyone I spoke to was polite and eager to help, but each one had a completely different answer. I’ve told each one that I know it’s probably not their fault but I don’t know what to believe and can this somehow be escalated to see exactly what is going on. I’ve just been told to fill in an online form to see to which they will aim to respond to within 15 working days. 😡
