Weird stomach bug?

Just wondered if anyone had experienced this...been feeling nauseous for three days, no energy, generally unwell, but not vomiting or diarrhoea. It started on Friday with extreme muscle aches and chills which lasted a few hours, and since then just nausea and generally feeling crap but no other significant symptoms. I've barely eaten so that might be contributing as well.

Just wondering whether it's likely to be a bug or food poisoning, buy I'm confused by the lack of vomiting and diarrhoea...

Careful, that's how mine started off. Do you have stomach pain?

chillichutneysarnie · 03/03/2024 13:41

My son and husband had it with vomiting, I had it without. I presume I was just slightly more immune to it

I and my dh had very similar a few weeks ago for 24 hours. I suddenly felt very bloated, went tired and had muscle aches, alternated between being hot and shivering. I felt sick but wasn't and no diorrhea. I was absolutely fine a few days later.

How are you feeling now? I'm feeling similar. Two days of horrible cramps and slightly iffy tummy (but not constant) and now just feel sick and exhausted. Haven't done a covid test. Too tired to look for the pack!

Horrible isn't it! I feel like I've turned a corner today and managed to eat properly for the first time since Thursday. Still a bit dizzy though. Hope you feel better soon.

We had this 2 weeks ago, I had a few days of feeling really nauseous, off coffee, tired etc. in fact I felt pregnant. Day 4 or 5 I spent the day being sick, then had a few more days of nausea with no sickness. Probably a good week and a half before I felt normal again. My husband got the sickness the day after me, the toddler the day after him.

it’s horrible, hope you feel better soon

@OctopusLocks oh good glad you've turned a corner!
@Ithinkitstimeforbed I've spent the whole day thinking exactly that I feel pregnant! Bringing back some unpleasant memories to be honest I did not have great pregnancies!

Ithinkitstimeforbed · 04/03/2024 20:13

@507am Yes, my son is at an age where I’m looking at babies thinking aw, maybe another would be nice, that sickness was a horrible reminder of HG during pregnancy and cured my broodiness!! I did say if the rest of the household hadn’t have been unwell too I’d have taken a pregnancy test! Take it easy if you can, hope you feel better soon

RedRobyn2021 · 05/03/2024 06:57

I had this last week it lasted about 4 days, it was very odd and felt like being pregnant but I wasn't

My dd and DP didn't get it

JKDcot · 17/10/2024 20:11

@507am and @Ithinkitstimeforbed sorry to pick up an old thread. So I’ve been feeling the same since Friday night - bloated, nauseous, dizzy. Totally felt like pregnancy sickness. So I thought / think I am pregnant but getting negative results on tests (too early!?).

but today my husband has come down with fever and sickness. So… this thread made me think maybe it’s just a bug 😳☹️

sucks being a woman right?!
