Should I go to Rome on my own (also 12 weeks pregnant)

So all I have to do work wise next week can be done in a couple of hours per day from my laptop (I’m self-employed). I always wanted to see Rome. Should I get an apartment there Tues-Sun just for myself and explore the city? Is it worth it? Safe/fun on my own? DH can’t come due to work but encouraged me to go. After the last few weeks of early pregnancy worries I’d kind of love a change of scenery. But it’s also in my mind that I’m pregnant and what if I have a bleeding or anything while I’m there.

Absolutely I would. It will only get harder to see three places once baby arrives. .

Definitely go!

Absolutely go! You will love it and it's a wonderful time of year to visit - not too hot, not overwhelmed with tourists like Easter and summer.

To see the Colisseum and the Sistine Chapel you should book ahead - my son didn't and was lucky he was staying 8 days because the only slot he could get was on the final day. So as soon as you have your plane tickets booked, get your crucial sightseeing booked too.

Sounds great

Definitely do it! It may be one of the last times you have for solo travel realistically for the next 2 years. I went to the US for 3 weeks from 9-12 weeks pregnant for work and to see family. I’d be much more comfortable going to Italy because of healthcare and ease of travel.

Thanks, you’ve motivated me to book my flight 😁
