Coffee making, decaf and regular

I drink regular coffee, DH can only have decaf. We currently have a Tassimo machine, which I'm not a fan of but the ability to use decaf and regular pods interchangeably is a plus.

What coffee making system would you recommend for us? Budget is £100 or less ideally. We're not surrounded by fancy artisan coffee makers to buy beans etc, so ground coffee from a shop or a subscription would be what we'd use.

Thank you for any advice, the options seem endless but none fit our brief!

Ground coffee and a couple of cafetières. cheap and cheerful. Hot, fresh coffee every time.

Completely agree. We've had a couple of fancy machines over the years, but the cafetiere makes far better coffee.

You can also use an Aeropress for stronger coffee, but a cafetière, or a small one each, is fine for most of the time.

Thank you for the responses. Seems two cafetieres are the way forward then. Any particular recommendations or are they much of a muchness?

Aeropress

I like metal cafetières - there's reasonably priced ones on Amazon - get double walled so the outside stays cool. I dislike glass ones because dh kept breaking them. I have metal ones that seem indestructible.

I love my little Tassimo Suny. No mess, easy to use, it reads the bar code and adds more or less water depending on what kind of pod (espresso, Americano etc). I don't like cafetiere coffee. I like a latte so a pod in the machine while I'm nuking some milk works for me. We both have to have decaffeinated so we're still working out the nicest pods.... Cafe Hag seem to be most to our taste at present.

Indestructible is definitely a selling point here. I'm a dropper!
