Recommend a pair of trainers for walking, please

I have no decent trainers for walking.
I used to wear Converse but I have come to realise (finally) that they are no good - at all.
I would like something stylish that looks ok with denim, dresses or leggings.
Any recommendations?
Thanks.

I read yesterday that Skechers are too soft and cause foot pain. I have Merrel walking shoes, they look like trainers but are more robust. I did a stony path walk today without issue. I also like Nike Airforce, swapped to these from my Doc Martens, instant comfort.

Go to a sports shop and look at their running trainers. I got a pair at Decathlon a few years ago (actually bought two pairs) and they are so comfortable it's like WALKING ON AIR

Sketchers have some great walking trainers, similar to Solomon/Murrell but without the price tag. I have an ankle injury and can walk in them.

Sketchers Arch Fit are great.

I love my Hoka trainers!

I’ve had a few pairs of merrell walking shoes. Sketchers gave me awful plantar fasciitis - the merrell shoes provided sufficient support to help my feet recover.
Trainers are a bit too soft for my liking, I find walking shoes have better grip.

HOKA Gaviota 5 are great. They are a stability shoe so good if you are prone to plantar fascitis or over pronate.

I walk and run miles and miles in mine and they are still good

Watching with interest as my trusty Nikes are causing me ankle pain. I had been looking at Fitflops but will investigate Hoka and Merrell as well now. I have merrell hiking boots who are good.

I have some own brand ‘Quechua’ walking shoes from Decathlon. Had them about 3 years now & still going strong.
Before that I had a pair of Karrimor but these are much better.

I have these Merrell bravada, I find them much more comfortable for walking longer distances than Skechers.

I don't think you can have something stylish that is also good for walking... how far are you walking and over what terrain?

I have a pair of New Balance that look stylish but I only ever wear them round cities or towns. When I'm out 'properly' walking and not on paths I wear my North Face waterproof walking shoes. Stylish they are not but then keep my feet dry and are great on uneven ground.
