Did you get DH a wedding day gift?

Just that really - did you get your DH a gift to give him on your wedding day?

I was shopping with a friend and was having a look at some things in a jewellers and mentioned what it was for and she said that was absolutely not a thing and it’s not normal to give a gift 😅🙈

Yes we each had made little morning of the wedding boxes for each other. He got me lovely earrings and a necklace and I got him an engraved pocket watch. Just more for mementos of the day.

No, I don't think it occurred to us to be honest. No idea what I'd have bought, we aren't sentimental types at all and he doesn't wear watches or cufflinks or any jewellery except his wedding ring.

No, and I have never heard of such a thing tbh @Inyourwildestdreams We always buy each other a small anniversary gift every year though. (Or a bigger one if the anniversary ends in a 0 or 5.)

This puts me in mind of THIS, that a friend of mine put on facebook a few months ago though...

Yes, shoes for the wedding day itself. He still wears them when we have black tie events

Yes I got him cufflinks to wear on the day and a linen handkerchief with the date embroidered on it.
