I was sad to see this this morning - she was an inspiration!

Taylormiffed · 02/03/2024 11:25

Aaw, she was great.

Wasn't she just fabulous

Totally fab ❤

She was so amazing, I've got a photo of her in a frame on my bedroom wall. I was so inspired by her. I

love that quote of hers 'You're not pretty, and you'll never be pretty. But it doesn't matter. You have something much better. You have style'.

When I read that a few years ago it really resonated with me. I'm fair and pear shaped with quite a noticeable eye problem, but I love quirky styles, bright colours etc.

I love what a two fingers up she gave to stereotypes about women, and ageing, and good taste. She’ll be missed.

She was fabulous, bless her!

I remember a beauty book that discussed ageing and how mature women should wear nude lipstick (once again ignoring women are not just blue eyed, fair skinned blondes!) and of course the wonderful Iris with her red lips and nails would scoff at that!! So would St Joan (Collins).

I love to see older women who ignore that advice.
