Can we discuss Geri

I never knew she started having a relationship with Christian Horner whilst his long term partner was pregnant.
And that Christian left his partner for Geri whilst his long term partner was heavily pregnant.
I've only found this out by seeing the story about Christian's text message scandal on the internet.
This is truly shocking to me.
Is it really true? Or has it been misreported or exaggerated online?
I know things get misreported online. But if it's true, then this will really badly affect my opinion of Geri, who I've always really liked a lot.
Secondly, I googled images of Geri, and I noticed every image of her shows her wearing white clothes. White dresses. White suits. White tops. White trousers. White skirts. White knitwear. White ski gear. White swimsuit. It struck me as a bit odd, even possibly showing a bit of an obsessive trait - having to wear the same colour all the time. Does anyone else find this a bit unsettling?
If anyone on here is lucky enough to know her, is Geri ok?

But she doesn't look good in white and it certainly does not suit her. Makes her look washed out.

I can’t believe I can be bothered to debate this total (to me) irrelevance but I’m not seeing washed out at all. She’s half Spanish and has a warm skin tone and she looks great IMO. Also it’s often cream not white and there are pics of her in silver, black and other colours too, including with him so she doesn’t only wear white.

Like a pp I think “ooh, you can’t wear that, tomato sauce/red wine/dusty F1 track disaster” then I think “actually I don’t need to worry about it, phew”

Clearly she doesn't think so & that's really what's important.

People (usually women) always mistake feminism for a requirement for women to set a stainless example to all women in their lives.

Feminism just means equality. Why do we set such unobtainable, high standards of conduct for women? (Rhetorical Qu)

The minute a woman stays with an imperfect, disrespectful man, women reject them from their idealogical feminist gang whilst withdrawing their compassion and empathy.

Feminism is just about being allowed to be as flawed and non-sensical with our life choices as men continue to be. Men, who enjoy this freedom without judgement.

I am a feminist to the core but I too have chosen to be harmed by patriarchal systems at times in order to protect my child. It was a choice. The lesser of evils. It’s not my job as a woman to make myself more vulnerable by David and Goliathing at every turn to improve these oppressive systems. It’s men’s job to deconstruct and rebuild properly.

If Geri sees that, on balance, her kids will benefit from some level of homeostasis while she processes her pain, re-evaluates her marriage and gets her financial ducks in order, then that’s her CHOICE. If we were feminists, we’d respect that.

If she stays with him despite the cheating. Also her CHOICE. That’s what we fight for, not some pseudo-feminist militia dictating what is and what is not acceptable as a feminist.

Makes no odds to me but I find it odd that a few posters have said how white suits her when I and quite a few other people just think it doesn't. Makes her look older than she is and a bit ill. I see photos from the past when she has clothes with a colour other than white and she looks very different, more attractive and more somehow alive

We don't know what goes on behind closed doors. This email getting sent out might not be the first time she's seen all these texts. He had at the very least an emotional affair. I imagine it was selective screen shots of messages sent out to make him look bad we certainly haven't had the whole story. If she wants to stand by him that's her choice.

If this was a Netflix true crime series it would turn out that Geri leaked the messages herself.

I think a feminist would leave a cheater because feminism is also about being respected by men. Cheating (lying, deceiving, gaslighting) ain’t respectful.

Gosh you sound like a very moral person OP, well done you. I know you only came on here to find out if the stories are true about Geri, after all mumsnet is the most accurate and true info out there. And good for you not buying the books, I’m sure that will make a big difference.

What CH has done is one thing. Geri needs to deal with all that mess. I definitely don’t condone it, but I’m not sure either of them deserves the level of public humiliation reigning down on them, the speculation, the ridicule, all the she deserves it. It’s disproportionate. And you are stirring the already very full hate pot, so maybe your moral compass needs adjusted a bit and your halo straightened.

Well I mean, it's probably akin to the hurt and humiliation that the pair of them caused to his ex partner when they got together while she was heavily pregnant with their much wanted IVF baby. Hard to feel any sympathy for such a selfish, cruel pair of people.

I’m wondering why she feels the need to be his puppet in all this? If she wants to stay with him, fine - it’s her life.

But why does she have to be paraded around - holding hands, staged kissing, side eye to the camera, it’s all so old fashioned. It’s just his way of saying - my wife is absolutely fine and head over heels in love with me, therefore everything you have read is BS. Otherwise - she wouldn’t be here looking all giddy and in love, would she?

Geri is independently wealthy, and more than capable, why can’t she just say “Bollocks to the lot of you!” And stay at home on her sofa drinking vodka Red Bull.

What I can't understand is why she is at the Grand Prix's when he's doing his actual job? She's literally going with him to work. I don't get that but then I don't follow formula 1.

I was too old to be into the Spice Girls in the 1990s. Instead, I saw it for what it was - a cynical marketing exercise dreamt up by men and targeting young girls. The Spice Girls never gave a shit about Girl Power it was just something they were instructed to say. They have all fallen out a fair few times over the years too, I guess the thought of “reunion tours” keeps the contact going.

It must be shit to marry someone famous like him. As well as all the nice stuff you have to smile for the cameras when he's been trying to get into a relationship with another woman. Your dignity and self worth must take a nosedive. Bit like Victoria Beckham.
