Was a light chicklit kind of book but I remembe enjoying it in my early 20s, I'd like to revisit it from the grand old age of 45 and see how my perspective has changed.
Only thing is, I can remember very little about it.
It's set in the US. The protagonist is a female around 30, fairly introverted and creative and her best friend is a real popular girl. Early on the best friend is maybe dancing on a table at her 30th birthday, about to get engaged.
Then, and I can't remember if this is exactly the plotline, I think the protagonist ends up with the best friend's fiance, perhaps after they split up.
I think the best friend has twins with someone kind of unsuitable.
There's a scene where she's unhappy about being given a tiffany bean necklace and refers to it as a "wind cause vegetable."
That's all I have.
Any ideas?
