If you lead hikes/walks with a club, do you enjoy it?

I'm hiking many years, with hiking clubs, and absolutely love it. I'm thinking eventually I'd like to lead myself, hoping to do a navigation course this year, but at the same time, I'm not sure I'd have the confidence to lead.

Anyone start leading after following for years?

Ask someone to do it with you. Committee will be so glad to encourage another leader they will be happy to help. Or if there is an experienced leader you get on with, they might help.
