Intrigued at how work affairs start and how long it takes for them to be full on.

Where does the sex bit take place if they both have families?

Husband (almost done divorcing him) cheated on holiday and I suspect with a work colleague too. He was home every night so not sure where they would've been 'doing it'.

Conferences, work dos, any event involving a hotel.

Hotels at lunch, car parks, store rooms in large office blocks, the odd night away ‘with clients’

Absolutely. My colleagues and I are watching one unfold at the moment (not literally 😁) - honestly it's cringe-inducing.

There's a woman I follow on Insta who does a very accurate bit entitled "Is he hot or.." and the one that most rings true is "Is he hot or...is he just office-hot?"....

Eyes over the computer, confessing to "my wife doesn't understand me" over coffee, reading a book their favourite book, sending them a "thinking of you x" message on a Saturday night. Blah blah blah, generic selfish shit until they arrange to shag it out.

Well, yes. So often, attractive in a suit, then on their own clothes on dress down.. vomit.

I read a Rob Parsons book once (I think Loving Against the Odds) which said something like ‘the affair doesn’t start at sex or even the first kiss. The affair starts the moment someone cross the office to speak to another for no other reason than to indulge their crush.’

I’ve never forgotten that. How insidious the little actions are that lead up to an affair taking place.
