To be fair to him, I do remember Geri Halliwell specifically telling him that if he wanted to be her lover, he'd have to get with her friends.

They’ve been shown to be false and WhatsApp messages faked using an AI app

Stop spreading rubbish about people with real feelings

Maybe spend some energy thinking around the subject and the motivations at play for this all happening in the first place and the false claims being made. Have a look into how these things are done. It’s a different technological day and age. Surely, people are not so naive to believe everything they see and not understand how deep fakes etc are produced. It’s all there if you dig around on the internet.

They have not been shown to be fake at all. What is your source please? If they were fake his team would 100% have released a statement to that effect.

Tell me. Does your BeKindandFair trope not extend to the woman that raised his inappropriate behaviour? Or do you think she has put herself through a likely harrowing investigation for a laugh, probably losing her job in the process

Yes.Is it fair and kind to her.

You'd be very naive indeed to gulp it down that he's been 'cleared' - by who? Some bullshit internal team and an APPARENTLY independent barrister, who isnt going to say yes or no he's done it but rather only what could be proven in court. Sorry but this us the court of public opinion now and we're less impressed by so called achievements in a sport 🤨

This^

If it was AI wouldn’t it be perfect grammar ?
Aren’t there loads of men like this? We encounter the fall out on MN all the time.

The only reason he’s been “ cleared” is because he’s famous and got lots of money but most people aren’t fooled.

HelpMeGetThrough · 03/03/2024 09:07

SheepAndSword · 03/03/2024 06:54

MN seems to be all Horner and Princess of Wales at present

He's not after her now, is he?

He's not after her now, is he?

Well...that would be interesting!!!

AhBiscuits · 03/03/2024 09:16

But has anyone answered the big question, winkie or pinkie?

HotChocWine · 03/03/2024 09:21

@BeKindAndFair are you CH? Or Geri?

ColleenDonaghy · 03/03/2024 09:26

BeKindAndFair · 03/03/2024 06:43

Except that many of us are aware of the power struggle behind that investigation and thus sceptical about its findings. Not to mention differing cultural attitudes to the power imbalance between a senior manager and his PA.

I've seen several credible arguments for the messages being fakes (old version of WhatsApp, no automatic capital letters at the start of sentences) but the fact that he hasn't directly said the leak is fake speaks volumes.

Poor woman caught up in all this. I hope she consented to the leak.

ColleenDonaghy · 03/03/2024 09:28

HelpMeGetThrough · 03/03/2024 09:07

He's not after her now, is he?

I think he sent her a dick pic and she keeled over in shock, doing herself an injury.

BudsBeginingSpringinSight · 03/03/2024 09:31

@mydogisthebest to be fair ai stuff is quite flat and one dimensional at the moment.

ThreeTreeHill · 03/03/2024 09:32

BeKindAndFair · 03/03/2024 06:43

He's not been cleared of sexting, he's been cleared of "wrongdoing" i.e. sexual harassment. And by redbull, the company he owns.

ThreeTreeHill · 03/03/2024 09:34

Or at least company he is the boss of and therefore has a vested interest in clearing him of 'wrongdoing'

The 51pc Thai owners want him to stay. The 49pc Austrian owners want him out.

Fizzadora · 03/03/2024 10:10

Can anyone tell me where the inappropriate texts are? I have read through the ones on the link but can't see anything to cause concern unless they are only thumbnails and all the relevant stuff is out of shot. Some of it is a bit flirty but they are adults and I just can't see anything really dodgy. If anything in some of them it looks like he is trying to back off from overfamiliarity and she ramps up.
Can't see any dick pics, just an oily? finger but again, it may be that they are not all there.
I have read that she started dating Verstappen and he, quite rightly, told her to stop (or presumably resign). She, quite rightly, lost her complaint against his controlling behaviour so has released these texts to try and turn it into sexual harassment.
Not trying to turn this on to the woman, I think he comes across as a jumped up smarmy little shit and would love to see him get his comeuppance but I just can't see any real evidence for what he's been accused of. Can anyone enlighten me?

Mookie81 · 03/03/2024 10:13

BeKindAndFair · 03/03/2024 06:54

It’s been investigated and he’s been cleared and fully exonerated. People are continuing to gossip and fuel the rumour mill but nobody seems to be giving much thought to how joking and b1tch1ng about celebrities may affect them as real people with real feelings and emotions regardless of whether claims are true or not. In this case they’ve been shown to be false.

We should all remember to be kind. There have been way too many stories in recent years of where gossip and speculation has caused terrible damage to celebrities’ mental health, some ending their lives. Shame on those who continue to spread lies, especially after claims are proved to be invalid. Guess that doesn’t make such good chat fodder though.

Imagine someone accusing any of us of something awful and untrue and then never being able to get away from it and having the lies perpetuated everywhere day after day in public.

Fuck off with 'be kind'.
His messages are basically sexual harassment and he's only been cleared because his organisation has no respect for women either.

I think you might have them the wrong way around. The messages I saw demonstrate an unhealthy dynamic of him calling her, her refusing to answer and trying to put him off. Reads like she's walking a tightrope between not wanting a relationship with him any more and not wanting to anger her boss.

Propertylover · 03/03/2024 11:41

@BeKindAndFair @Fizzadora
I suspect that unlike @ColleenDonaghy and I, plus some other posters you are not familiar with the piranha club and its misogyny.

The leak happened on Friday, so in roughly 48 hours, Christian Horner, Red Bull, the FIA, FOM etc. have chosen not to issued a single statement, text etc. saying the leaked texts and pictures are false, AI etc.

Given that F1 teams, drivers, the FIA and FOM all use social media it is not credible that not one single communication has even hinted that they are not genuine. Not one injunction issued etc.

I appreciate the contents are relatively mild but they are unlikely to be all the messages. Given that Christian Horner is a team principal and the woman is a subordinate the power imbalance means that this was inappropriate behaviour of a sexual nature in the workplace. If the texts were part of the evidence it is surprising that all the complaints were all dismissed.

Being kind is feeling sorry for the woman involved.

EchoChamber · 03/03/2024 12:03

I’ve just read the messages. He sounds like a pathetic teenage boy talking to a much older, weary woman who is trying to extricate herself from a very unpleasant situation. He sounds absolutely pathetic. He can’t even write literately.

And I'm sure she told him what she really, really wanted.

BudsBeginingSpringinSight · 03/03/2024 14:45

Why do people want him out if he's done so well for rb

Pinksmyfavoritecolour · 03/03/2024 14:52

That made me laugh op, thank you x
