Supermarkets between m62 and Manchester airport?

I'm flying next week and wondered if there was a decent big supermarket between the airport and the m62 where I could do a big shop before coming home.

Can you plot your route in Google maps and look for supermarkets en route or nearby? Kind of depends which junction of the M62 you're heading for. Probably easier to go to your local one as you'll probably be familiar with the layout. Or book click and collect or a delivery depending on when you're getting back.

Are you heading towards Liverpool on the M62 or Yorkshire?
If Yorkshire then go anti-clockwise round the M60 and there's a huge Tesco literally at the bottom of the sliproad of junction 27 in Stockport.

For Liverpool direction then I think M56 - M6 - M62 would be the preferred route so that's not through such a residential area. Asda at Birchwood or Westbrook in Warrington are probably closest to the motorway. Or there's a big Tesco and Sainsburys in Altrincham.

Ideally, I want to pick up food to eat on the way home(it's a long drive and we land late). I thought some local knowledge might help. Don't know which junction - heading towards Leeds/ a1

There's also a big Tesco at junction 17 if you go the other way round the M60.

Sainsbury Heaton Park if you're going anti clockwise to meet the 62
