We used swimnature (south London but they cover various locations). I think lessons are supposed to be 2:1 but dd was mostly on her own.

Dd took her two to private lessons at the Carleton Joumerah hotel. Could you phone the pool/spa and ask for a list of instructor's?

Mine had lessons with Angela's swim school (in Charlton but they have a few locations). They were great and do 1-2-1 I believe.

@ChristmasJumperz I saw Angela's but saw that they use arm bands which made me discount them - DC has been doing swimming lessons without arm bands up to now.

Ah yes I forgot about that. They don't inflate them fully as they go along, so they become less reliant on them as they have less air in, but kid still feels confident. Good if you've a nervous swimmer, perhaps less so for yours. Mine refused to wear them after a few weeks and it was never questioned, they were fine with it. Maybe if yours isn't a beginner they'd not insist?

the use of bands and mentioning it might be more of an attempt to target reluctant swimmers or parents who are nervous themselves vs a strict requirement. my gc were adept swimmers from a young age, so no bands in lessons.

We used Angel Swim

David Lloyd and other clubs do individual lessons. Small groups with waterbabies. They can do private lessons in some cases.

@Jandob do you have to be a member of DL?
