Any advice on whether Costco is actually cheaper for dog food, washing powder etc day to day item?

It absolutely is but you need to be working out cost per use and buying in serious bulk. The savings aren't crazy but they are there.

Yes but as above you need to buy loads. We've gone back to Aldi

It is for some things, but we used to find it's still cheaper to buy supermarket branded items than 'proper' brands in bulk in Costco. Also everything is so massive, we couldn't eat half of it (block of cheese for a family of 10 kind of thing 😆)

I'd say it isn't always cheaper, but it is better value for money.
