Routine activities at school that make you cringe

Inspired by another thread on the ritual of picking teams in PE. Some schools apparently still do this which surprised me. Most posters said they hated it. Wondered what other routine school rituals from the past or present people don't like, or think are cruel or counterproductive.

School uniforms.
Horrible, ugly, uncomfortable, expensive and pointless.
Doing outdoor sports in drizzling rain.

A friend of mine will never wear purple as she associates it with her school uniform! I was never that bothered over uniform, but the cost of logoed blazers (thankfully not at my school). Ouch.
