Car insurance address

Maybe a silly question....

For example, if children at university and car is more often at university rather than home, how do they use the correct address for insurance purposes? Because the permanent address is home as shown on driving license?
Is there an option to put where car is usually kept? Because it seems a nonsense to change DL address on a yearly basis

I may be overthinking this

Driving licence and car registered to home address but insurance lists address/location of car as university address as that’s where it is most of time (in our case).

Thank you
So I just put in Uni address and they don't mind that DL address is miles away? Or do I put permanent address than an option to put where car is usually kept?

I just put ‘address where car is kept overnight’ as uni address and home address as main address.

I discussed a similar situation (not university, something else) with my insurer a while back, and they took details of the insurer's home address, and where the car is kept, yes. Your child is on as the main driver though, yes?

My DD's car is registered to here but where she lives is listed as where it's kept overnight. Was what admiral advised for university and it's what current provider required (military broker)

Yes she is main driver
