Riverford customer service

I had a box delivered a week early, told them. My fortnightly delivery date was then shifted a week early, not by me. It then became a lengthy debate of them trying to prove me wrong, imo, on both counts...

Customer service?

After 4 years with them, I've now left.

All experiences welcome 😊

They've always been fine in my experience. Can't comment on what happens when there's an issue as I've never had one. I don't understand why there was a debate, though. Surely you just change the delivery dates in the app, job done.

Yes, I changed my date back, no problem. still a lot of emails leaving me upset, so left.

So they just kept emailing you about it, unprompted, to the extent you were upset by them? Sounds unlikely, I have to say, but if that's what happened I'd be complaining to the owner.

Only if anyone has had problems, or not, with their customer service. I support their ethics, surprised at the customer service.

No, I had a problem with delivery and dates, imo they tried to prove me wrong.

Agree that sounds like poor customer service. I'm none the wiser as to what actually happened, but it's good you've moved on.

I’ve been with them for years. Always good communication and the odd occasion I’ve had a problem they’ve been helpful.

I’ve recently been having trouble with them leaving my box in the wrong place in full view from the road, and also not taking back old boxes. After several weeks trying to get this corrected back to the usual delivery place I have given up and decided to stop having deliveries. I am a long standing customer so this has not been an easy decision but they really didn’t seem to care less when I told them!

I was happy with them until they got too expensive for me. If it’s the wrong date I would have just changed it online. Wouldn’t have bothered ringing.

I did like the seasonal and unusual stuff - samphire etc.

I do support their ethos, but for a polite email from me to getting me annoyed enough to leave after 4 years is quite an achievement for their customer services - I don't annoy easily...

Yes, agree I was probably unlucky, and that's why I posted, a sort of straw poll on whether my experience was unusual 😊

I’ve only had an issue once (only received half the amount of a particular veg in my box), and customer service was excellent, resolved it really well.

I've also been a long-standing customer (since 2007!!) at multiple addresses and had only one blip in all that time which was very swiftly and pleasantly sorted out - I think you've just had really bad luck to get one particular arse of a CS agent.

Their customer service is variable. It was truly awful during the pandemic when they prioritised all their new customers over their old ones.
