Ideas for DH's birthday

DH will be 59. He said there's nothing he wants, maybe to spend it on something we can do together. I usually buy something he's asked for and add on things like a gift voucher, shower gel, chocolate, alcohol.

Any ideas? He goes to gym, cycles, hill walks, enjoys the pub and horse racing.

We're already seeing friends that week to watch horse racing in pub a couple of afternoons, and he can get tickets on discount, so no point in arranging something like that. We're going out for a meal which we usually do. I've already bought concert tickets with for him, this is intended was a treat not a present. I can't think what else we could do together, I haven't got a head for heights so nothing adventurous.

Any ideas? Also, any ideas for small ideas extras - I give him the same old things. I usually spend around £80, but we need to start cutting back so something less than this.

If he doesn't want anything and you need to save the money - maybe don't get him anything? I know it sounds harsh but it sounds like you're looking to spend money you don't have on things you don't need.

Or spend the money upgrading on what you:re already doing - buy the nicer bottle of wine when you go out for dinner etc. It doesn't need to be stuff
