It's such a sham that you didn't get any joy from the first two local florists, and the third one being quite restrictive. I've found prices in the local Interflora shop so expensive before, (last used for a funeral a few years ago now), and so because of that - and being largely housebound now - it has made it easier for me to order online now. It was due to receiving flower deliveries as gifts that others had ordered from Prestige that made me start using them myself. But I think in trying local, as many pp here suggested, it can be more the "right" thing to do, helping local businesses, and I still use those types of businesses where I can, but to do so and receive no response can be really annoying and can make you think 'why did I bother' type thing, and it is sad when you prefer to buy/shop/support local.
I hope the flowers you did order were nice though? I am also considering ordering Mother's Day flowers this week too - you'll have to let m know when you order to see if the money off worked and then if I order after you I too should get the referral money off as well. So in theory it's a win/win! To us, unfortunately not for a local business this time. So I'll wait to order mine later in the week, and hopefully the referral discount will work for you. And I really hope you are happy with them after me being so enthusiastic!
Also, I don't think they are the type of company to put prices up for special occasions, ie, Mother's Day, but I think it's also worth looking at other sections as well as in the Mother's Day one, if that makes any sense? As I say, if not really notice much of that but I think it's good to be aware of that when using any company. Btw, you can add vases to the order, I've done that 2 or 3 times when sending flowers nd iirc you can get a choice of vase and they too have always arrived intact and have been really lovely.
