Whilst I have sympathy for those who wasted a day out, I can't believe anyone bought tickets for this after seeing the AI-overloaded website!

Seriously, anyone who fell for this needs to educate themselves on scams!

It looked like someone from The Apprentice had organised it.

I have little sympathy...these things are always a rip off....the same as those 'Winter Wonderlands' that pop up every Xmas time....just a tiny funfair and a hot dog stall.

I feel sorry for the (young, inexperienced) actors who were employed to work at this thing. They have had ridiculous levels of abuse on social media for something which they had no control over.

I live not far from this "event" and hadn't heard anything about it until it exploded all over the internet last weekend. The guy behind it clearly has form. Then again, anyone in Scotland will remember that Glasgow has form for it too, I was one of the utter mugs who forked out for Elfingrove at Christmas 2019.

Apparently there was no chocolate! Kids got a single jelly bean and a cup of lemonade.

Had to laugh also at the gruff Scottish bloke "I wasn't best pleased ..." before the smooth-accented translator took over (I wish my French was good enough to understand how 'I wasn't best pleased' was translated).

Nonolepetitrobot: it just says 'I wasn't happy'.

He says "Je n'etait pas content" which is just - I wasn't pleased.

Ah, slight loss of nuance which I suppose is inevitable.

The French coverage results in lots of laughs from the studio, but they do say that the police had to be called and stress that it was a very expensive event and lots of children were very disappointed. They also say at the end that the company claimed to have tried to cancel at the last minute and couldn't which is why it was so shit.

My French isn't as rusty as I thought it was!

Oh, I know it’s terrible because the wee ones had a really disappointing day, and people lost money BUT

In a world where all the news seems to be war and death, when I opened up the story and saw the pictures of inside the venue, I absolutely guffawed 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 it honestly was so bad, it was good. Like someone has done a parody of a day out. Made my week.

I’m on a few fb groups where people post obviously AI generated photos and it’s shocking how many folks can’t tell the difference.

I feel sorry for the disappointed kids and out of pocket parents. But by god the ongoing coverage and new snippets coming out about it are just gifts that keep on giving...
