My lower eye lid on one eye keeps twitching. It’s getting on my nerves. Anything I can do to stop it?

Get more sleep!

DustyLee123 · 27/02/2024 13:06

It’s not that, I sleep well!

Stress and poor sleep was the cause for me. You might think you sleep lots, but it may not be quality sleep. Or could be due to stress.

Mine is usually brought on by stress but it disappeared once I’d cut caffeine.

It could be a nutrient deficiency, I usually eat a something with magnesium or potassium ie a banana or some Brazil nuts, a quick google
should list some other foods.
There a lots of other reasons including stress, screens, pollutants etc

You need magnesium supplements

I have a twitchy eye lid coming off anti depressants also if I have been stressed. Doesn’t usually last longer than a few days though.

DustyLee123 · 27/02/2024 13:58

I’m already on magnesium, and eat a Brazil nut every day.
Could be poor quality sleep.

I had a twitchy eye for months a while back. The only thing that helped was facial exercises. You can Google them but basically it's just screwing your face up and stretching it a few times a day. It worked for me.
