Help needed with "All things Swedish" day

We're off to Abba Voyage next month. We cannot wait.

We're going on the Sunday, so have decided to make a weekend of it by making Saturday an "all things Swedish" day.

My first thoughts are IKEA meatballs, gravalax, lots of Swedish house Mafia and roxette on the playlist.

I'm stuck there! What would you include as part of the day?

TIA

Somebody told somebody about cooking bananas or plantains and conclusions were drawn is my guess! I’m actually keen to
try it sometime but no point making it at home because mr Bani has put in a veto. No adventurous spirit, that’s his problem.

Very tame selection, I know, but my friend's palate is so bland, he wouldn't have coped with much more from the shop.

Ladies, I thank you 😘

You know what, that is perfect. You might as well have been down my local supermarket!

What a wonderful weekend.

My friend loved the flying jacob and the love cake. I prepped it all Wednesday night. The meatballs were an easy win. The open sandwiches for breakfast was an "interesting choice" due to the rye bread. The choc milk definitely helped wash it down.

We watched a couple of films and played an awful lot of music over the weekend. Much much much Swedish fruit cider drunk. I couldn't face the spirit one of you lovely people suggested.

The snacks were hardly eaten, although they came in handy for the journey to/from Voyage. I got far too much joy from eating Plopp and Spunk.

And what a show Voyage was! I didn't think it was going to be as amazing as it was. We're booking to go again soon.

And finally, I will eat bananas in a curry again. Whilst still thinking it's wrong.

Thanks again to every one of you for all your help in making an amazing weekend.
