My mum died tonight

That’s it.. I wasn’t there. I live in a different country. I was home with her last week. I can’t believe it. And I had a complicated relationship with her and I feel so bloody awful and guilty and like a shit daughter.

I’m so sorry. I was in another country when my mum had a stroke. By the time I got back she didn’t recognise me anymore. You are not awful and you should not feel guilty. Look after yourself.

I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s hard when you have a complicated relationship with someone who dies suddenly. Guilt is a common feeling, but you did your best. You saw her recently. Focus on the good memories and let the rest go.

I'm so sorry. My Mum was frail but went suddenly as well, and it was horribly shocking. Try to be kind to yourself and treat yourself how you would treat a friend who had lost someone 🌹

I’m very sorry. I lost my Mum in very similar circumstances (living abroad, difficult relationship).
