Purchased a used car 2 weeks ago, the same day I picked it up I was driving home and a warning light came on with a message which said 'check brake system'. The next day it came on again so I messaged the dealer to let them know. They told me to come in Saturday to have it checked, on Saturday morning when I went to start the car the engine would not start, I called the dealer who told me to call RAC to tow it to their recommended garage.
When RAC arrived they checked the vehicle and said the caliper was leaking and there was no brake fluid, they towed it to the dealers recommend garage.
I picked up the car on Monday evening and the dealer said the caliper was fixed and assured me there was no other problems with the car. Five days later, the car engine would not start again, I messaged dealer who said they would come and check it, they tried to jump start the battery with no luck. They again told me to call RAC to get it towed to their recommended garage. RAC checked the vehicle and could not figure out the problem. No faults were coming up on their scanner & they said the battery was fine.
The car is now at the garage but I do not want it anymore. I sent the dealer a complaint email, stating my consumer rights & that I want to reject the car but they have not yet replied. I believe they are waiting for the garage to check the fault before getting back to me. But I do not want to accept another repair, I just want a refund.
Please could I have some advice on where to go from here?
