DH just lost his job

Just feeling bit down - so much has been rubbish this last year - my dad died - expected but never good, just after that i got breast cancer - thus delayed my teacher training so i am job hunting now and now this - nothing he had done wrong just a reorganisation last in first out - to cap it all talking about seperating

I'm so sorry. That's a huge amount to take on in a short space of time. What support do you have?
Could you consider a paid teacher training route if your health is now better?

Busniesses aren't supposed to fo last in first out, because it discrminates against younger workers. The business wins because they pay less redundancy than if they'd let George go after 30 years, when he may have wanted to.

Ask him to see ACAS.

Thanks both dh has only been there a year so doesnt have any rights as such - i havd just qualified so am job hunting now - lots of good friends around - i will be ok just wanted to off load!

Your talking of separating? Is that because of this new acute stress? If so is that what you really want. If it is then fab and all the best you will feel much brighter in your new role new qualification without someone at home making you miserable xx. Take time to process things sorry its difficult at this time for you x
