NI number for DS16

DS 16 is trying to apply for his provisional driving licence but needs his NI number. He doesn’t seem to have received this, perhaps because I didn’t claim child benefit as a higher earner. We’re going round in circles trying to get a number now- does anyone have advice? He’s still at school and will be for another year. TIA

You apply online for it.and they will send it in the post.

We haven't claimed child benefit for years and still received kids NI automatically. But yes, you can apply online.
