Viral rash?

Does this look like a viral rash? My daughter had some spots come up last year that was apparently impetigo they got really bad at one point.
Since then she still gets off spots come up but don’t get as bad as before. But recently she’s had quite a few come they only really come on her front and back not really her legs or arms and not itchy. We’ve just come back from the doctors and doctor said it looks like a viral rash but I’m thinking otherwise but don’t know what it could be 🤷🏼‍♀️. She’s not poorly and these set of spots have been coming up since beginning of Feb.

yeah me too. Viral rash is usually smaller closer together or under the skin

@scorpiogirly it’s not chicken pox she’s had them for a week and had a bath and not got anymore from them x

@Mrsjayy that’s what I thought about viral rash that’s why I’m questioning it. I know doctors know best but doesn’t seem right x

scorpiogirly · 26/02/2024 15:02

Have any of them started scabbing over?

Mrsjayy · 26/02/2024 15:03

flea bites not flew*

scorpiogirly · 26/02/2024 15:03

It seems they can last for a week or more.

My eldest still has chicken pox spots and it has been 15 days. They have scabbed over now but looked exactly like your picture

My daughter is prone to viral rash and it doesn't look like this. This looks like chickenpox!

Ds used to get viral rashes regularly. I'm talking about every time he was ill and he was ill a lot. we were often sent to A&E for a blood test as they were non-fading.

I can tell you a lot about viral rashes. He had:
Little pin pricks in small numbers normally around his ears/temples (he still gets those)
Little pin pricks in large number, often all over his body
Big red blotches, about 2p piece size plus
Big red crescent moon shaped
Blue/Green bruise like
Sort of hexagonal shaped dark blue spreading quickly (those were fascinating. You could actually watch them coming out. They started on his head and gradually worked down the body)
Like chicken pox spots
Coming and going
Bumpy red rash
Red dots (about 0.5 cm) on the bottom of his foot and round his ankles

I came to the conclusion that "viral rash" = has some sort of infection and we don't know what, but doesn't look serious.

@scorpiogirly they don’t tend to scab they just come up then slowly fade over time

maybe this is just going to be her bodies reaction to things.
