I am suffering so much with anxiety. I can't cope. I am waiting for MRI results for a health condition. I am fearful for the future. I'm in pain. I miss my old life. I don't know why I'm posting but I feel so wrecked.

Hey,

I am sorry - that sucks. Do you have a timeline on when you will get the MRI results?

Regarding having to get up for work if you haven’t slept do you have anything that helps? Coffee? Fresh air? A healthy (or not so healthy) breakfast or snack? Any painkillers that are helping?

It’s lousy to be in such a situation and I’m really sorry about it.

@garlictwist
Waiting is the worst part of any illness

Is this bad enough it's worth ringing in sick? Maybe get a fit note from GP?

I hear you.
what’s your biggest concern about the health condition?
do you get treatment for the pain?
could finding out more about what the results could mean may help ease the anxiety?

i have MS and was terrified during onset and diagnosis but 24 years later i can see the anxiety is so much worse than anything.

research worked for me.

Thank you for replying. My biggest concern is losing the ability to do the things I love which has already happened to an extent. I think the uncertainty of not knowing the outcome is not helping. I am doing a lot of research but I think that it's actually making me more anxious. I wish I could stop thinking about it. Perhaps work will help.

Distraction of work may well help ease your mind for a bit.

it’s how long it takes to get a diagnosis is disgusting.
you feel left in no mans land flailing with no answers.

is there a charity associated with the illness you are being tested for?
they may have a help line to assist you through.

the feeling of uncertainty with no one to ask questions is awful.
I hope things ease for you.
