Has anyone tried Girl Scout cookies?

It’s apparently Girl Scout cookie season and some of my American friends are rather excited.

I’m curious to try them but I can’t get them here. I’m tempted to make a homemade version or two but I’m not sure if it’s worth the bother.

If anyone has tried them how good are they really?

Yeah they're good, but I suppose part of the fun is that you can only get them at certain times.

There are things I've been tempted to recreate from back home (like IHOP pancakes!) but girl scout cookies aren't one.

Yes, a few years back though. DH came back from working in the US with loads of them.

Yes! Especially the mint ones and the Samoas. We used to live in the US and the first time I saw Girl Scouts selling them I was so excited I went sprinting across the Walmart parking lot in the pouring rain waving a $20 bill.
