What size would you guess I am?

Just as the title says really. I've lost quite a bit of weight recently and felt I looked OK, but received a comment yesterday which suggests otherwise! I'm 5 foot 8 for reference.

What size would you guess I am?

You're tall, so I'd say 10 for tops and skirts, 12-14 for trousers, depending on style and store. You look fantastic, OP!

Agree with this, because you're tall and have nice hips and small upper body.

Haven't read the thread yet so I can comment without knowing your actual size (if you've already told us), I think you look maybe a 10-12. 10 top half possibly 12 for trousers? You also look quite tall so maybe you'd need longer length. You definitely don't look overweight, you have a lovely shape so well done on the weight loss!

But someone who is tall is longer so often looks thinner or do you think a 5ft person who is size 10 looks the same as a 6ft person who is size 10?

I can vouch for what you say. I am petite and I think that I look a whole size bigger compared to other people who are my size but taller.

Thank you everyone, you have all made me feel much better. I am a size 12 currently, but was made to feel as though I look much bigger by a friend's comment yesterday. After recently losing two stone, and thinking I looked OK, it was quite disheartening!

You have a lovely figure though so the arbitrary number written in a label no one sees is totally irrelevant.

She’s jealous plain and simple. She preferred having a friend who was heavier/bigger sized than her.
Youve done a amazing to lose weight and I think you look very trim and fit. How did you do it - I’m really struggling

Thank you to everyone who's commented, you have all made me feel a lot better! I know you should try and ignore other people's comments about your appearance but this was a 'friend' (🤔) who asked me yesterday if I wanted some of her old plus-sized clothes that are now too big for her - apparently she thought they would fit me nicely! I've recently lost almost 2 stone so it was a bit disheartening 😬

That's a very bitchy move!
