I can't get my teeth any whiter

This is stressing me out.

I had trays fitted by a dentist and the gel but the trays seem to be loose and all saliva gets in (but I only realised this a year later when examining them to try and see why it wasn't working), the dentist now won't help.

Also using Crest strips which aren't helping. They don't seem to cling to my teeth very well.

They just seem to get darker and darker all the time. Not a wine drinker, smoker, or coffee/tea drinker either. No dental problems. Brush and floss twice a day.

It’s Colgate max white - in a red box. There are a few and I think I end up getting a different one every time as I can never remember which one I had before! It’s more expensive than bog standard toothpaste but I stock up when on offer and I do really notice a difference using it. I tried a charcoal one for a bit but it didn’t do very much.

I bought gel online and made my own moulds using this for £10: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B092M5W117/

I did have to cut it down massively after it dried but I have a small mouth. Seems to be working well and definitely not loose!
