Any phone games to recommend?

I want something slightly mindless, like solitaire or……..dunno. I don’t really play games so I have no idea what is out there. Years ago I played some kind of garden/farming game where you’d grow plants. But I’m after something with not too many annoying adverts, something I can pick up if I feel like it, or not. Can you recommend anything? I have an iPhone if that makes a difference to what I can access.

Or maybe something interactive with people? Not scrabble. And I can’t play chess. I play the Set Game sometimes.

Do you have a Netflix subscription? They do mobile games too - included in price and no ads. I've got a few from there - Knittens (puzzle game), Word Trails (word game) and Spiritfarer (sort of role play/strategy game). I'd recommend all three.

Traffic Escape. Very addictive!

Tsuro is a nice relaxing puzzle game.

Highrise Heroes Word Challenge is a good word puzzle game.

You might like Monument Valley. It's a very gentle, beautiful, calm puzzle game in 3D

I'm always playing Royal Match (similar to Candy Crush) and also Tetris.

Mini metro. Not cars but making tube lines. Weirdly addictive

2048 is good. There are quite a few variations on it. It's a 4*4 grid with a 2 in one block: you swipe any direction to move all blocks to the end of the row/colomn. Every time you swipe, a new 2 block appears somewhere. If you swipe and two 2 blocks collide, they become one 4 block. Which becomes an 8 block, etc. The aim is to create a 2048 block, but you can go higher once you've acheived it.

You can also select a larger grid.

If you like merge games, I also enjoy Merge Dragons, which has no ads. But I think there are countless merge games on the app store where you merge 3 of something to create a higher level item

8 ball pool has no ads. Didn't think I would like it as I'm not great at pool, but it's strangely good fun!

Homescapes (match 3 to get points, spend the points to fix Austin's parents house) and Klondike adventures (multi part game, the farming side with homeland and exploring other lands and events to change it up a bit) .. Fishdom is good too.,

Pentix, it’s like Tetris but blocks of five not four. There are camping and and adventures with m patterns to solve as well as just trying to get as high a score as possible.

Another fan of Woodoku.

I used to love the game Block'd and it's a genuine sadness in my life that you can no longer get it.

If you like music games then BeatStar and CountryStar are both very addictive. Similar to the old Guitar Hero type games but for a phone.

Basically have to make words from the letters given. It has a baking theme and can be played with no WiFi on so no ads.

I get bored easily too, so I’ve been playing puzzle games when I need something low-key but still fun. They’re good for zoning out or winding down without just scrolling. Some of them are super relaxing but still tricky enough to keep my brain ticking over. I find them more satisfying than endless tapping games, especially when the levels get harder.
