Has anyone bought an interesting word search book recently?

My friend's dad loves them & goes through books quite quickly. I've exhausted the ones The Works have in but keep my eyes open for new ones in there.

I'm after something more unusual for him this time - just not sure where to look!

Any suggestions? Or any that anyone here's particularly enjoyed?

Thanks!

Your best bet is to go to a bookshop and ask the staff for a recommendation, I think.

I buy the W.F. Graham word search books for my elderly stepfather - he needs the large-print ones due to eyesight issues, but I believe they do regular-sized editions as well. I usually find them on sale for £1.50-ish in those independent household goods shops with loads of mops, buckets and shopping trolleys on display outside.

Here's an eBay listing, to give you an idea of what to look out for:

Thanks both of you.

@blackcherryconserve it actually hadn't occurred to me to go in other book shops, as rediculous as that is! I'll pop into WHSmith or Waterstones next time I'm in town 🙈

@AreThereSomewhereIslands there are a few of those shops in town - never thought to pop in those either so I'll have to remember about them next time I'm in town too!

I was in a different branch of The Works today but have bought him all the ones they had.

It may be worth checking out local paper-shops too, OP - I suddenly noticed a small selection of puzzle books beside the glossy magazines in our corner shop this morning, and I think our Co-op stocks them too.

Happy hunting! Smile
