Vinted - can you deleted items not selling without being penalised?

New to Vinted - about 3 months ago DD and had a massive clear out to raise whatever we can towards her wedding later this year. Some things sold quickly but there are items (around 20-30) that have been there since day 1. Can we simply delete these / say not for sale anymore without incurring any penalty or getting a "bad" review or reputation?

I can't see anything in the guidelines but have a vague thought that if you cancelled too many sales you could be banned? Any advice appreciated.

Yes, just remove the listing, it's grand.

You get penalised if you cancel a sale after somebody has bought it but not just for taking down listings. I do it a lot: if I’m having a clear out I list everything, give it three or four weeks to sell and then anything that hasn’t by then I take down and it all goes to the charity shop.

Yes, if nobody is buying them, absolutely no problem, there's only trouble if you delete something that somebody has bought.

Yes, just delete it. I do this every few months for stuff that isn't selling

Yeah I have deleted things I sell elsewhere or have been on there too long and nothing has happened

Alwayswonderedwhy · 24/02/2024 11:15

I remove items all the time, usually when I've sold it elsewhere or I've given up and taken it to the charity shop. Cancelling a sale is different, I'm sure you would get bad feedback for that but can't why you'd not just post it anyway.

Thank you all - that's clarified it well. We will now delete the old stuff, take to charity shop and set about getting some new items up for sale!
