Help - fridge freezer

Our 12 year old American-style Samsung fridge freezer has stopped working. We have had a repair person over twice at a cost of almost £200 each visit and as it is still not working, we have decided we will buy a new one.
Please recommend a good fridge freezer that will last some time. We saw a LG one where you can see into the fridge but it was almost £1400. Does the hefty price tag make it superior to others? Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I have a Samsung family hub and we have had nothing but issues with the water dispenser and ice maker (the water doesn't cool and the ice machine clogs, is faulty and leaks water). Finally after 2 years of trying to get it fixed they have offered us a refund "computed based on the maturity of the faulty appliance". Very poor response given that it is their fault we have lived with a "faulty appliance - their own words for 2 years - it worked for a short period without issue). We are still discussing what this refund looks likes based on the fact that they have increased the price of the new appliance by £2K since we purchased it. I also asked them if they would let us buy the new one at a reduced price but the answer was a flat no!

So currently they are offering us a refund at a greatly depreciated price and have offered to let us buy the new one from them at the current full price :-( NOT what I would call good quality, good service or good product. TBC...

We always buy LG fridge freezers, they really last, the one we last bought is 10years old, works well, very quiet.
