20 years ago me and dh, went into a video store to rent the village on dvd. We took it up to the counter and the girl said "oh no you don't want to watch that it's rubbish" and put it away. So we left without it.

Tonight we finally watched it. In all honesty it maybe was of its time, but I liked the deep thoughts behind a lot of it.

Anyone else got a story like this?

I thought it was a good film. I liked the twist ending

I thought it was a great film due to the twist but then you can't really watch it ever again as you remember the twist!

I remember watching it when it came out and I couldn't believe how crap it was. The twist was just dull and predictable.

I was annoyed for quite come time that I'd wasted over an hour of my life watching it.

We guessed the twist in the first 10 minutes Confused I wouldn't watch it again. Glad it's finally ticked off my list thought Grin we watched Napoleon last night also, we enjoyed it but thought for the length of time it was on they could have gave us more of his character/personal life/tactics etc.

Thinking about watching Casino tonight. Not watched that for years. I've put citizen Kane on my list today never seen that film before.
