Second babies, were yours heavier or born earlier?

Currently 38+5 and my baby is already estimated to be over 8lb 😬

My first was born at 38+3 (failed induction, EMCS) and was 7lb 5.

In your experiences, did yours weigh more/less than your first and when were they born?

Interested to see responses!

Slightly less but still over 8lbs and slightly earlier but still a week overdue!

DC1 - 8lb 15oz at 42 + 2
DC2 - 9lb 1oz at 40 + 5

So very close in weight, but DC1 was sooo late. I dread to think what DC2 would've been if they hadn't been evicted early!

First baby born day after due date and 8.1lbs
Second baby was 2 weeks overdue so had to be Induced and weighed in at 9.3lbs !

1st 39+1 6lb9
2nd 41 +0 7lb 7. They had estimated that at due date baby 2 would be 6lb 13

DD was born at 40+5 weighing 6lb14oz, which was 9th centile.
DS was born 38+5 weighing 8lb10oz, 87th centile.

I'm now pregnant with DS2, 29+4 and having a growth scan in 2 weeks. Wondering if he will be bigger than DS1!

3 Boys all born in the 80’s
1st born 8lb 4oz
2nd born 7lb 4oz
3rd born 6lb 12oz

Second was slightly heavier but was born at 41 weeks, first was born at 40 weeks.

Ds2 weighed more and was 2 weeks overdue.

• Ds1 8lbs 3, 39+3 (induced due to blood pressure)
• Ds2 8lbs 9, 41+5 (induced as overdue)
• Ds3 9lbs 6, 39+6 (induced due to blood pressure)

1st 8lbs 12oz, 4 days overdue
2nd 9lbs, 3 days overdue
