We’ve booked a week in July in St Just. We normally stay in perranporth at a haven park and have done for the last 5 years but thought we would try something different.

im starting to panic that we’ve made a mistake :( I can’t see any beaches that you don’t have to walk far/down steep hills to get to. We have a 7yo who moans😂😩,

what is there to do? Don’t mind driving to places.

help :(

Cape Cornwall is sooo beautiful, it’s not that hard to walk down to the beaches. My kids love Cape Cornwall, good rockpooling and climbing/playing. Theres Moomaid ice cream in St Just too which they also love (naturally)
Theres not loads of exciting things to “do” as such—but Penzance, Land’s End, St Ives, are all within a short driving distance. Porthcurno nearby is also a great beach with kids and the Telegraph Museum, though boring-sounding is actually really cool.

I wouldn’t have picked to stay in St Just tbh. There isn’t much there. There are lots of lovely walls around Cape Cod though. You’ll probably need to drive to places, although if you’re going in the summer hols, roads/parking will obviously be super busy.

We are going the week before everyone else breaks up. as I said, we usually drive around anyway. We never ever use the town of perranporth anyway so doesn’t really bother us if nothing local apart from a shop. The house we are renting is perfect for us so I don’t mind if there isn’t too much in the town.
